When carrying out an audit on behalf of our clients, we will assign an experienced professional who has a full knowledge of regulatory requirements and who is familiar with your business sector, unlike many other firms who assign less experienced staff. While ensuring as part of our audit that your accounts reflect a fair and true view, we will also identify ways that you can improve profitability and efficiency. We believe that whether you are required by statute or not to have your accounts audited it provides a value enhancing exercise.
The statutory audit threshold is currently set at a turnover of £6.5 million per annum for companies and £500,000 for charities. Clients may also be subject to an audit to comply with their regulatory or constitutional requirements, for example charities, or to comply with shareholders wishes under section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.
An audit provides clients, shareholders and investors with another layer of protection in the current climate of increasing regulation.
Companies House report that 93% of the complaints it receives about accounts are in respect of those that have not been audited.
Our audit services include:
- Statutory Audit
- Internal Audit
- PAYE/NIC Audit/Health Check
- VAT Audit/Health Check
We can also provide audits for companies registered in countries outside the UK, where there is a statutory obligation to do so.
